This is something that I have never seen before, this card is a piece of history that helps to identify the Colt's original owner. The back of the card has his thumb print date of birth, occupation, address and description as well as his signature. It also lists the original owner, Reau H.
#CYLINDER AND SLIDE COLT AGENT .38 SPL. SERIAL NUMBER#
It lists this Colt by serial number and description. Included, is a green card that is a safety inspection certificate from Kalamazoo Michigan dated April 15th 1938. There is also a shooting suggestions pamplet with these items. The cleaning brush is also there in it's sleeve. The original test target is in the box as well as the sight adjustment tool in it's original envelope. The top of the box Shooting Master logo is faded but still can be made out. The box is sound, but is showing it's age. The original box is serial numbered to this pistol. The grips would also rate the same condition. The original bluing would rate a 99% overall condition. The grips checkering is sharp with no flattening or wear. The original grips match the pistol's serial number.

The cylinder stops show faint drag lines from light use. The 6 inch barrel shows bright clean rifling. There was extensive hand work and custom fitting to make this pistol the best target pistol of it's day! There was about 2500 38 Special Shooting Masters produced during it's production run. This Colt was one of the most expensive pistols ever produced by them.
